Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur until the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from fuel injectors and electronic engine controls.
4. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from engine control sensor wiring and power distribution center.
5. Remove fuel charging wiring retainers and fuel charging wiring from engine.
6. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten fuel charging wiring retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in). Verify all electrical connections.
