With Manual Transaxle

1. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle position switch.

2. Connect volt-ohmmeter to IDL and E terminals on switch.

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor:






3. Insert 0.40 mm (0.0160 in) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever.

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor (Manual Transaxle):






4. Loosen switch mounting screws.

5. Rotate switch clockwise approximately 30 degrees, then rotate counterclockwise until continuity exists.

6. Replace 0.40 mm (0.0160 in) feeler gauge with 0.70 mm (0.0270 in) feeler gauge and insert it between throttle stop screw and stop lever.

7. Verify that continuity no longer exists.

NOTE: If there is still continuity, repeat steps 3 through 7.

8. Tighten switch mounting screws while making sure not to move switch.

9. Open throttle plate to wide open throttle position several times. Recheck switch adjustment.
