Left Front


WARNING: THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY ENERGY MUST BE DEPLETED BEFORE ANY AIRBAG COMPONENT SERVICE IS PERFORMED. TO DEPLETE THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY ENERGY, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY GROUND CABLE AND WAIT ONE MINUTE.

Removal

1. Disarm air bag system.
2. Remove the battery.





3. Remove the radiator grille screw.





4. Release the five radiator grille clips and remove the radiator grille.





5. Remove the LH parking lamp upper screw.
6. Remove the LH parking lamp screw.





7. Pull the LH parking lamp away from the body, disconnect the parking lamp electrical connector, and remove the parking lamp.





8. Remove the two LH headlamp inner bolts.
9. Remove the two LH headlamp outer bolts.
10. Remove the LH headlamp nut.
11. Disconnect the headlamp bulb electrical connector and remove the headlamp.





12. Remove the two LH air bag sensor mounting bracket nuts.
13. Remove the two LH air bag sensor mounting bracket bolts and remove the LH air bag sensor mounting bracket.





14. Disconnect the LH front air bag sensor electrical connector.
15. Remove the two engine compartment fuse junction panel nuts and position the main fuse junction panel aside.





16. Remove the two ignition coil nuts and position the ignition coil aside.





17. Remove the two ignition coil mounting bracket bolts and remove the ignition coil mounting bracket.





18. Remove the A/C line bracket nut and position the A/C line aside.





19. Remove the four radiator bracket bolts and position the radiator to the rear.
20. Remove the three LH front air bag sensor and bracket bolts.

NOTE: Note the routing of the LH front air bag wiring to ease installation.

21. Remove the LH front air bag sensor and bracket.

Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Verify that the air bag warning indicator is operative.
