FA3 - Check For Short(s) to Ground

^ Key "OFF".

^ Disconnect the fuel pump relay.

^ Disconnect the powertrain control module.

^ Disconnect the fuel pump connector at the fuel pump assembly.

^ Measure the resistances between the following wires at the fuel pump relay connector and ground.

- BK/PK

- LG

^ Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?

YES -- Go to FA4. FA4 - Check Power Supply to Fuel Pump Relay

NO -- Service the wire(s) in question for a short.
