Pinpoint Test G: A/C Blower Motor Does Not Operate Properly

G1 Check Blower Motor Switch
- Perform the Blower Motor Switch component test.
Is the blower motor switch OK?
Yes
GO to G2.
No
REPLACE the blower motor switch.

G2 Check Wires To A/C Blower Motor Resistor
- Key OFF.
- Disconnect the A/C blower motor resistor connectors, A/C blower motor connector, and the blower motor switch connector.
- Measure the resistance of the following wires between the following components:
BL/BK wire between A/C Blower Motor and A/C Blower Motor Resistor.
BL wire between A/C Blower Motor Resistor and Blower Motor Switch.
BL/R wire between A/C Blower Motor Resistor and Blower Motor Switch.
BL/W wire between A/C Blower Motor Resistor and Blower Motor Switch.
- Measure the resistance of the same wires between the A/C blower motor resistor and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between components, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the A/C blower motor resistor and ground?
Yes
REPLACE the A/C blower motor resistor.
No
SERVICE the wire(s) in question.
