A/C Relay

[1][2]A/C Relay

1. Disconnect the [1][2]A/C relay electrical connector.
2. Use a Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-00051 or equivalent, on the diode / continuity check setting.
Check the diode in the [1][2]A/C relay as follows:
a. Check the continuity of the A/C relay diode with the positive multimeter lead on the "BL/Bk" wire terminal and the negative multimeter lead on the "BK/GN" wire terminal at the [1][2]A/C relay. No continuity should exist.
b. Check the continuity of the A/C relay diode with the positive multimeter lead on the "BK/ON" wire terminal and the negative multimeter lead on the "BL/BK" wire terminal at the [1][2]A/C relay. Continuity should exist.
3. Measure the resistance between the "BK/R" and "BK" wire terminals at the [1][2]A/C relay. The resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
4. Apply 12 volts to the "BL/GN" and "BL/Y" wire terminals at the [1][2]A/C relay.

5. Measure the voltage on the "BK/R" wire terminal at the [1][2]A/C relay under the conditions shown:
6. If all the measurements are correct, return to Pinpoint Tests. Otherwise, replace the [1][2]A/C relay.
