Odometer
The digital odometer operates in the following manner:1. Displays either miles or kilometers depending on the selection made with the English/Metric (E/M) button. The odometer display, as well as the units E/M, will be the same at power up as at power down.
2. Accumulated mileage is stored in a Nonvolatile Memory (NVM) every 1.6 km (1.0 mi.) and when the ignition switch is turned to OFF. The NVM saves both the total odometer mileage as well as the trip odometer mileage.
3. The total odometer display consists of 7 digits and a decimal point (leading zeros are displayed). The digit to the right of the decimal point represents tenths of a unit.
4. The total odometer range is from 000000.0 to 858993.4 km in the metric mode and to 925691.9 miles in the English mode.
5. The displays will stop at these modes once attained and not roll over to zero.
6. When in the metric mode, the legend km will appear near the odometer.
Service Alert: If a condition exists where the speedometer module cannot read a valid odometer memory value from the nonvolatile memory, the word ERROR will be displayed.
Replacement, Odometer/Service: Replacement instrument cluster may be obtained with odometers programmed with the actual vehicle mileage.
1. When the S is displayed it indicates that the instrument cluster has been replaced with a service instrument cluster with no mileage.
2. The S can only be displayed when a service instrument cluster, programmed to light the S, is installed. Previous accumulated mileage must be recorded on a door jamb sticker.
