Oil Pressure Indication System
OIL PRESSURE INDICATION SYSTEMOil pressure indication system consists of:
1. Low oil pressure warning indicator.
2. Oil pressure switch.
3. Circuitry.
Low Oil Pressure Warning
A red warning indicator in instrument cluster:
1. Glows when the oil pressure is below a prescribed value.
2. Comes on when the ignition switch is first turned to the RUN position.
3. Goes out within a few seconds after the engine starts, signaling that the oil pressure is satisfactory.
Oil Pressure Sensor
The oil pressure sensor is installed into the engine block. The oil pressure is calibrated to open between 26-44 kPa (4.5-7.5 psi).
