Warning Chime System

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The safety belt warning chime module will sound the following warnings:
1. Key-in ignition warning.
2. Safety belt warning.
3. Headlamp switch ON warning.

Key-In-Ignition Warning
The safety belt warning chime sounds when the driver's front door is opened, with the key in the ignition switch, and it continues to sound until the key is removed or the front door is closed.
1. When the key is in ignition, the ignition key warning switch terminal and wire is closed and ground is supplied through Circuit 158 (BK/PK) to the safety belt warning chime.
2. When the driver's front door is open, the driver's door open warning lamp switch closes and power is supplied through Circuit 159 (R/PK) to the safety belt warning chime.

Safety Belt Warning
When the ignition switch is turned to RUN or START, power is supplied through Circuit 640 (R/Y) to the safety belt warning chime.
1. The safety belt warning chime then supplies power through Circuit 450 (DG/LG) to illuminate the safety belt warning indicator lamp for six seconds, whether or not the driver's safety belt is fastened.
2. If the driver's safety belt is not fastened during this time, the safety belt buckle switch remains closed, supplying ground through Circuit 85 (BR/LB) to the safety belt warning chime and causing it to sound for six seconds.

Headlamp Switch On Warning
The safety belt warning chime sounds when the driver's front door is opened while the headlamp switch is in PARK or HEAD, and continues to sound until the headlamp switch is turned off or the front door is closed.
1. When the headlamp switch is in PARK or HEAD, power is supplied through Circuit 257 (W/R) or 14 (B/R) to the safety belt warning chime.
2. When the driver's front door is open, the driver's door open warning lamp switch is closed and power is supplied through Circuit 159 (R/PK) to the safety belt warning chime.
