Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLE

Exploded View Of Main Control Valve Body:






NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View Of Main Control Valve Body image for exploded view of main control valve body.

DISASSEMBLE

1. Remove manual valve from main control, then the solenoid valve body bolts and valve body.

NOTE: Do not remove solenoid valve body wiring cover.

2. Remove solenoid valve body gasket from accumulator body assembly. Discard gasket.
3. Remove pressure tap plate bolts, plate, and gasket from accumulator body. Discard gasket.
4. Remove control valve body to transfer plate bolts, then the manual valve detent spring assembly.
5. Remove accumulator body to transfer plate bolts, then the accumulator body, separator plate, and separator gaskets from control valve body assembly. Discard gaskets.
6. Remove control valve body assembly, valve body separating plate, and gaskets from transfer plate. Discard gaskets.

Intermediate/Overdrive Accumulator Valve Plug Removal:






7. Remove intermediate/overdrive accumulator valve plug retaining plate from accumulator body, then thread a M 6x1 bolt into plug and remove as shown in the Intermediate/Overdrive Accumulator Valve Plug Removal image.
8. Remove and discard intermediate/overdrive accumulator plug seal.
9. If necessary, disassemble and clean accumulator body and control valve body parts, noting the following:

a. Refer to the Exploded View Of Solenoid Valve Body And Accumulator Body image and the Exploded View Of Control Valve Body And Transfer Plate image when servicing accumulator and control valve bodies.
b. Remove and clean one valve at a time to avoid incorrect installation.
c. Lubricate and assemble parts as soon as possible to avoid damage or loss.

ASSEMBLE
1. Install new seal on intermediate/overdrive accumulator valve plug and coat with petroleum jelly.

Accumulator Valve Plug Installation:






2. Use a suitable screwdriver to install intermediate/overdrive accumulator valve plug as shown in the Accumulator Valve Plug Installation image.

NOTE: Push plug into bore only until it is flush with accumulator body.

Valve Body Guide Pin Installation:






3. Install intermediate/overdrive accumulator valve plug retaining plate, then position valve body guide pins tool No. T94P-77000-N or equivalent in transfer plate as shown in the Valve Body Guide Pin Installation image.
4. Install valve body separator plate gaskets, separating plate, and control valve body on transfer plate.
5. Install accumulator body separator plate and gaskets, then the accumulator body on control valve body.
6. Install accumulator body to transfer plate bolts and control valve body to transfer plate bolts and tighten.
7. Install pressure tap plate, gasket, and bolts on accumulator body assembly and tighten.
8. Install solenoid valve body, gasket, and bolts on accumulator body assembly, noting the following:
a. Match solenoid valve body gasket to passages.
b. Tighten bolts.
9. Remove valve body guide pins, then install manual valve.
