Parts will not be direct shipped for this recall. Order your parts requirements through normal order processing channels.

Excess Stock Return
Excess stock returned for credit must have been purchased from Ford Parts and Service Division in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletin 4000.

Extraordinary Expense Allowance:
Extraordinary expenses associated with fuel tank flushing and disposal may be included on the recall claim. Supporting documentation justifying these costs must be maintained and are subject to audit.

To claim additional costs for flushing and disposal, enter Labor Operation 95S30C and 0.7 hr. maximum in the Labor Operation Column. Non-labor expenses associated with disposal must be entered as "HANDLG" in the MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSE AREA.

Fuel Cost:
After installation of the new fuel tank, it must be filled with gasoline, as a final check for leaks. The labor to top off the tank is included in the labor allowance for tank installation. Claim the cost of fuel by entering cost (up to a maximum of $11) as "OTHER" in the MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSE AREA.

Parts Purge
All of the Contour/Mystique fuel tanks listed below are to be withdrawn from your inventory and returned, using the least expensive transportation, to your facing PDC within 30 days.

If claim is processed electronically via DOES II, use return code "GB"; otherwise complete Form FPS-340 using return code "J".

In the remarks section write "Returned per 95S30"

Limits
Returns are restricted to the subject part and must have been purchased from FCSD in accordance with policy and Procedures Bulletin 4000.

Credit for parts and prepaid freight will be issued.
