AC7 - Check PIP Signal Circuit For Shorts to Ground

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Ignition Control Module (ICM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 56 (PIP) and test pins 16, 40, 46 and 60 (short to ground).

- Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Go to AC8. AC8 - Isolate Opens In PIP Circuit In PCM

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

If vehicle does not start, go to AC8. AC8 - Isolate Opens In PIP Circuit In PCM
