Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair

1. Remove brake master cylinder and power brake booster.

2. Remove two brake master cylinder to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) brake tubes.

3. Remove four remaining HCU to wheel brake tubes
4. Disconnect electrical connectors.

Fig. 45 HCU & Mounting Bracket Removal:

5. Remove four bracket mounting bolts and the HCU.
6. Separate HCU from mounting bracket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque brake tube fittings to 10-16 ft lb.
