E5 Check ABS Sensor Circuitry For Open

- Access suspect front brake anti-lock sensor or rear brake anti-lock sensor and disconnect connector.

- Using chart and Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent, measure resistance of each suspect front brake anti-lock sensor or rear brake anti-lock sensor circuit from 2-pin connector to appropriate pin at breakout box.

2 8 (W/GN) RH Rear Sensor
17 9 (BR/GN) RH Rear Sensor
8 8 (W/BL) LH Rear Sensor
16 9 (BR/BL) LH Rear Sensor

- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES -- Go to E6. E6 Check Resistance at ABS Sensor

NO -- Service suspect circuit for open circuit. Clear all DTCs. Restore vehicle. Retest system.
