EGR Tube: Service and Repair

EGR Valve Tube:

REMOVAL
^ Remove engine air intake resonators.
^ Disconnect EGR pressure valve sensor hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
^ Remove two retaining bolts for EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from ignition coil bracket.
^ Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
^ Raise vehicle on hoist.
^ Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from three way catalytic converter.
^ Lower vehicle.
^ Remove EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from vehicle. Separate EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube at connection.

INSTALLATION
^ To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nuts to 35-45 Nm (26-33 ft lb). Tighten retainer bolts for the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube to the ignition coil bracket to 7-11 Nm (62-97 in lb).
