Engine Support Insulators
REMOVAL1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove engine air intake resonators.
2. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring connector from Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, then engine control sensor wiring from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
3. Remove engine air cleaner to body O-ring.
4. Remove engine air cleaner body and intake tube from bracket and intake tube and duct.
5. Remove air cleaner mounting bracket from engine and transaxle support insulator.
6. Install three bar engine support tool D88L-6000-A, or equivalent, to engine lifting eyes and support engine and transaxle.

INSTALLATION
WARNING: If engine and transaxle support insulator or upper front engine support insulator has been removed, engine and transaxle position must be realigned to front subframe. Failure to realign engine and transaxle may result in possible component damage.
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove two front subframe through bolts and lefthand front engine support insulator bolt.
2. Install powertrain alignment gauge T94P-6000-AH, or equivalent, to transaxle bracket and front subframe. Torque vertical bolts, then through bolt to 20 ft lb.
3. Loosen righthand front engine support insulator through bolt, then lower vehicle. Install engine and transaxle support insulator.
4. Install new engine and transaxle support insulator nuts. Torque nuts to 7 ft lb.
NOTE: This vehicle uses self-locking nuts. These must be replaced with new self-locking nuts when servicing.
5. Remove engine support, then torque engine and transaxle support insulator nuts to 52-70 ft lb.
6. Raise and support vehicle, then tighten righthand front engine support insulator through bolt.
NOTE: Observe position of righthand front engine support insulator. It must be centered in transaxle bracket and in perfect front-to-rear alignment.
7. Remove three bolts and gauge tool.
8. Install lefthand front engine support insulator to front subframe with two bolts. Torque bolts to 7 ft lb.
9. Observe lefthand front engine support insulator to ensure perfect front-to-rear alignment, then torque bolts to 30-40 ft lb.
10. Install lefthand front engine support insulator through bolt.
11. Position air cleaner body and intake tube on bracket. Ensure mounting tabs are firmly seated in mounting bracket grommets.
12. Install O-ring retainer, then air cleaner element.
13. Install air cleaner cover, then ensure rear of cover is fully engaged with body and close clamps.
14. Connect engine air control sensor wiring connector to Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
15. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
16. Install engine air intake resonators.
17. Connect battery ground cable.
