Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2. Remove engine cooling fan and shroud.
3. Release belt tensioner and remove accessory drive belt.
4. Remove water pump pulley mounting bolts, then remove water pump pulley.
5. Loosen mounting bolts and remove water pump.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Replace O-ring and tighten to 15-22 ft lb.
