FE14 - Check BLR Circuit For Short to Ground

- Key "OFF".

- Blower motor relay disconnected.

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 29 and test pins 40, 46 and 60 at breakout box.

- Is resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning to check for damaged blower motor switch or relay.

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Verify elimination of idle speed concern.
