DH3 - Attempt to Generate DTC 122
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 123 indicates the Throttle Position (TP) sensor signal is greater than the Self-Test maximum value.
Possible causes are:
- TP sensor may not be seated properly (tightened down).
- Damaged TP sensor.
- Short to power in harness.
- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- Key "OFF".
- Disconnect TP sensor. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Rerun Key On Engine Off Self-Test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
- Is DTC 122 present (Ignore all other DTCs)?
Yes -- Go to DH4. DH4 - Check VREF Circuit Voltage
No -- Go to DH5. DH5 - Check TP Circuit For Shorts to Power
