Distributor Gear:

4. Remove camshaft sprocket (6256), crankshaft sprocket and timing chain at the same time.

NOTE: If crankshaft sprocket (6306) is difficult to remove, loosen crankshaft sprocket by prying, using a pair of large prybars positioned on both sides of the crankshaft sprocket.

5. Remove timing chain vibration damper (6284) (three bolts) from front of cylinder blocks (6010). (This requires pulling back on ratcheting mechanism and then installing pin through hole in bracket to relieve tension.

INSTALLATION
1. With the timing chain vibration damper in the compressed position, install the timing chain vibration damper and retaining bolts to front of cylinder blocks. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-14 Nm (71-123 inch lbs.).
2. Rotate crankshaft (6303) as necessary to position No. 1 piston (6108) at top dead center (TDC) and keyway at the 12 o'clock position.
