Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner and air intake duct.2. Remove two bolts attaching sight shield and position shield aside.
3. Remove hood weather seal and wiper assemblies.
4. Remove left cowl vent screen and wiper module.
5. Install engine lifting eyes, then engine support fixture D88L-6000-A, or equivalent.
6. Raise and support vehicle.
7. Remove engine mount through bolts.
8. Partially lower vehicle, then raise engine at support fixture.
9. Raise vehicle and remove starter motor assembly.
10. Drain engine oil, then remove oil filter.
11. Remove wire loom, ground strap and automatic transmission cooler lines.
12. Remove oil pan-to-bellhousing bolts, then the crankshaft position sensor shield bolts.
13. Remove remaining oil pan retaining bolts.
14. Remove steering shaft pinch bolts and separate steering shaft.
15. Position a transmission jack under front of subframe.
16. Remove six rearward bolts on front of subframe, then loosen two front subframe bolts.
17. Remove lower strut to control arm bolts and nuts on both sides of vehicle.
18. Lower subframe, then remove oil pan.
19. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten oil pan to 80-106 in lb.
