Intake Air Duct: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Loosen the tube clamps at both ends of the air cleaner outlet tube.

2. Carefully remove the air cleaner outlet tube. A gentle twisting motion will release the tube from its mounting surfaces on the throttle body and the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The throttle body end of the air cleaner outlet tube is marked with an arrow and the initials T-B. The MAF sensor end of the air cleaner outlet tube is marked with an arrow and the initials MA-FS. Be sure the air cleaner outlet tube is installed with these markings at their respective locations. The arrows should be indexed at the 12 o'clock position.

1. Position the tube clamps on both ends of the air cleaner outlet tube.

2. Install the air cleaner outlet tube on the throttle body and the MAF sensor.

3. Tighten the air cleaner outlet tube clamps to 1.4-2.3 Nm (12-20 lb in).
