Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
INSPECTION AND VERIFICATION^ Verify the customer's concern by operating the system.
^ Visually inspect the vacuum lines, fuel vapor lines, fuel tank and connections for looseness, pinching, leakage, damage, or other obvious causes for malfunction.
^ Exercise the wiring connector for the fuel vapor canister purge regulator valve. Check the throttle body, mass airflow sensor and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for looseness, corrosion, damage, or other problems.
