KF2 - Enter Output State Diagnostic Test Mode
NOTE: Use Analog Volt/Ohm Meter (VOM)/Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) for this Step.
- Key "OFF", wait 10 seconds.
- DVOM on 20 volt scale.
- Connect DVOM negative test lead to Self Test Output (STO) at the Data Link Connector (DLC) and positive test lead to the battery positive post.
- Jumper STI to SIG RTN at the Data Link Connector.
- Perform Key On Engine Off Self-Test until the completion of the Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
- DVOM will indicate less than 1.0 volt when test is complete.
- Depress and release throttle.
- Does voltage increase to greater than 10.5 volts?
Yes -- Remain in Output State test mode. Go to KF3. KF3 - Check For LFC/HFC Circuit Cycling
No -- Depress throttle to Wide Open Throttle (WOT) and release. If Self Test Output (STO) voltage does not go high, leave equipment hooked up and go to pinpoint test step QC2. QC2 - Check Throttle Linkage
