Radiator: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain cooling system.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove righthand and lefthand front fender splash shield.
5. Remove lower radiator hose from radiator.
6. On vehicles with automatic transaxle, remove lower oil cooler inlet tube from radiator.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. On vehicles with automatic transaxle and A/C, remove air deflector seal located between radiator and fan shroud.
9. Remove upper oil cooler inlet tube from radiator.
10. Disconnect electric cooling fan motor electrical connector.
11. Disconnect high speed fan control switch electrical connector. If necessary, remove high speed switch from radiator.
12. Remove three fan shroud bolts and the fan shroud.
13. On models equipped with A/C, remove upper radiator air deflector from radiator and position aside.
14. Remove upper radiator hose.
15. Remove two radiator support upper brackets.
16. Remove oil cooler tube bracket bolts from radiator.
17. Remove radiator coolant overflow hose from radiator.
18. Remove radiator from vehicle by lifting it straight up.
19. Reverse procedure to install.
20. Fill cooling system, then start engine and check for coolant leaks.
