Stator and Coil Open Test

NOTE: Alternator must be disassembled to conduct this test.

1. Inspect stator and coil laminations for overheating.
2. If burn spots are evident, replace stator and coil.
3. Use Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-00051, or equivalent, to check stator and coil leads for continuity.
4. If there is no continuity, replace stator.
