Safety Belt Retractor Motor Test

1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the B-pillar limit switch connector.

Connector:

3. Apply 12 volts to terminal 4 at the B-pillar limit switch.
4. Ground the terminal 1 at the B-pillar limit switch. The belt carrier should travel.
5. Reverse the polarity. The belt carrier should reverse direction.
6. Reverse the polarity again. The belt carrier should reverse direction again.
7. If the safety belt retractor motor operates properly, return to the pinpoint tests. Otherwise, replace the front seat shoulder strap track.
