Seat Belt Warning Timer: Description and Operation

The safety belt warning system incorporates a chime and a lamp located on the lower RH side of the instrument cluster. The safety belt warning lamp illuminates for several seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. The safety belt warning chime is grounded to activate a switch in the driver's side inboard buckle. The safety belt warning chime will sound if the driver's safety belt is unbuckled.
