Seat Belt Reminder Lamp: Description and Operation

OPERATION
A ground path is provided by the Warning Chime Module to light the Fasten Belts Indicator for 4 to 8 seconds when the Ignition Switch is initially placed in the RUN position. With the driver's seat belt unbuckled, the Warning Chime Module will supply a ground path to light the indicator for 1-2 minutes. With a passive restraint belt unbuckled or a passive restraint system fault present, the Passive Restraint Module will supply a ground path to the light the indicator indefinitely.
