Accelerator Cable Bracket

ACCELERATOR CABLE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Remove

Accelerator Pedal And Linkage:

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable (9A758) from the throttle control lever (9A776).

Accelerator Cable:

2. Loosen the locknuts on the accelerator cable bracket (9723) and disconnect the accelerator cable and rubber grommet from the accelerator cable bracket.
3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft (9725) by disconnecting the cable retaining clip from the shaft.
4. Feed the accelerator cable through the dash panel (01610) and into the engine compartment.
5. Remove the accelerator cable by pulling it out of its routing hole in the dash panel.

Install

1. Feed the accelerator cable through its routing hole in the dash panel.
2. Position the accelerator cable to the accelerator pedal and shaft and install the accelerator cable retaining clip to the accelerator pedal and shaft.
3. Connect the accelerator cable and rubber grommet to the accelerator cable bracket.
4. Connect the accelerator cable to the throttle control lever.
5. Tighten the locknuts on the accelerator cable bracket.
6. Adjust the accelerator cable deflection refer to adjustments/Cable Deflection. Accelerator Cable Deflection
