Fuel Tank Support Straps

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the middle pipe shield.

3. Support the fuel tank (9002) with a suitable jack.

Fuel Tank Support Straps:

4. Remove the two fuel tank strap bolts (9A010) from the fuel tank support straps (9092).

5. Unclip the fuel tank support straps and remove the fuel tank support straps.

Installation

1. Clip the fuel tank support straps into their mounting positions.

2. Install the two fuel tank strap bolts. Tighten the fuel tank strap bolts to 27-38 ft-lb (37-52 Nm).

3. Remove the support jack from the fuel tank.

4. Install the middle pipe shield. Refer to Section 09-00A or 09-00B.

5. Lower the vehicle.
