Accelerator Pedal and Shaft

Accelerator Pedal And Linkage:





REMOVAL

1. Remove the accelerator cable (9A758) from the accelerator pedal and shaft (9725) by disconnecting the cable retaining clip from the shaft.

2. If equipped, disconnect the speed control actuator (9A825) from the accelerator pedal shaft lever (9B771).

3. Remove the accelerator shaft retainer (9D747) bolts and remove the accelerator pedal and shaft, and accelerator shaft retainer assembly.

4. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the accelerator shaft spring tension hook from the accelerator pedal and shaft.

5. Using a screwdriver, remove the E-clip from the pivot pin.

6. Remove the accelerator lever pivot bushings (90805).

7. Pull the accelerator pedal and shaft out of the accelerator shaft retainer.

8. Remove the accelerator shaft spring.

INSTALL

^ To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the accelerator shaft retainer bolts to 8-11 Nm (69-95 in lb).
