Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.

Manual Lever Position (MLP) Switch:

2. Remove the clip securing the parking lever actuating rod to the park actuator support.

3. Remove the park actuator support from the parking lever actuating rod.

4. Turn the park actuator support to the neutral position.

5. Loosen the Manual Lever Position (MLP) switch bolts.

6. Remove the screw from the access hole on the MLP switch.

Transmission Range Switch Adjustment:

7. Align the indentation inside the MLP switch with the access hole by inserting a 2.0mm (0.079 inch) OD pin through the access hole.

8. Tighten the MLP switch bolts to 8-11 Nm (69-95 lb in). Remove the pin.

9. Install the screw in the access hole on the MLP switch.

10. Recheck the continuity of the MLP switch.

11. If the continuity is incorrect, replace the MLP switch.

12. Position the parking lever actuating rod to the park actuator support.

13. Install the clip.

14. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
