Instrument Panel - Finish Panel

REMOVAL

WARNING: The airbag backup power supply must be depleted before component service is performed. To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute for airbag backup power supply to be depleted.
2. If equipped with a tilt column, tilt the steering wheel down.
3. If equipped with a standard column, remove the four steering column upper mounting bracket bolts.
4. Lower the steering column.

Instrument Panel:

5. Remove the cap screws securing the instrument panel finish panel to the instrument panel.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the instrument panel finish panel.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the steering column upper mounting bracket bolts to 9-14 Nm (80-123 in lb).
