Track Assembly
REMOVAL
1. Remove A-pillar and B-pillar moldings.
2. On two door models, remove rear seat.
3. Cycle shoulder belt retainer completely forward.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors at A and B-pillars.
5. Remove plug button from shoulder belt anchor cover.
6. Remove Torx(R) screw retaining shoulder belt anchor to shoulder belt retainer and disconnect anchor.
7. Remove two screws retaining drive belt track to motor.
Drive Belt Replacement:
8. Remove screw retaining vertical drive belt guide.
9. Carefully disconnect drive belt track from motor, allowing belt to pass by gear teeth without engagement.
10. Remove screw from A-pillar bracket to A-pillar.
11. Remove two bolts securing track assembly to B-pillar.
12. Remove two screws retaining track assembly to inner roof rail.
13. Remove screws from overhead track retaining clips.
14. Disengage vertical guide release tab at B-pillar bracket.
15. Rotate track inboard to remove track limit switch retaining tab from slot in A-pillar.
16. Carefully slide drive belt out of vertical guide.
INSTALLATION
1. Insert drive belt in vertical track.
2. Insert retaining tab on limit switch bracket into slot in A-pillar.
3. Engage vertical guide retaining tab into B-pillar.
4. Install two retaining bolts at B-pillar.
5. Install screws in overhead track retaining clips, then install screw retaining A-pillar switch bracket to A-pillar.
6. Position drive belt guide at motor.
7. Align drive belt and guides. Ensure belt does not bind, then install two screws.
8. Install shoulder belt bolt.
9. Install plug button and connect electrical connectors.
10. Ensure proper operation of restraint system, then install garnish moldings.
11. Install front seat shoulder belt track to track assembly as follows:
a. Return shoulder belt track carrier to retracted position (B-pillar).
b. Pull belt from retractor on the console. Allow belt to lay flat across seat back without twisting.
c. Install shoulder belt to track assembly by inserting anti-rotation pin in strap carrier and aligning it with notch in belt anchor.
d. Install Torx(R) head retaining bolt.
12. Ensure system operates correctly.
13. Install quarter trim panel.
