Accelerator Cable Bracket

REMOVAL

1. Remove accelerator control splash shield from accelerator cable by removing retaining bolt, stud and nut.

2. Remove intake air duct assembly.

3. Disconnect accelerator cable from cam by pulling end slug from slot.

4. Remove accelerator cable to accelerator cable bracket retaining screw.

5. Remove throttle cable from accelerator cable bracket.

6. Remove bolts retaining accelerator cable bracket to engine.

INSTALLATION

1. Position accelerator cable bracket on engine and install retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 14-20 Nm (10-15 lb ft).

2. Position accelerator cable in bracket. Install retaining screw.

3. Install throttle cable to accelerator cable bracket.

4. Connect accelerator cable to throttle body cam.

5. Install intake air duct assembly.

6. Install accelerator control splash shield.
