FF8 - Check PSPS State With KOEO vs. KOER

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box and connect PCM to breakout box.

- Reconnect Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch.

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Measure resistance between test pin 28 and test pin 46 at the breakout box.

- Start engine.

- Does resistance remain less than 10 ohms between Key On Engine Off (KOEO) and Key On Engine Running (KOER)?

Yes -- Go to FF9. FF9 - Check PSPS State With Engine Running and Load vs. No Load

No -- Replace PSP switch. Remove breakout box. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
