Excessive Air System Noise, (Putt-Putt, Whirring Or Hissing)

CONDITION
^ Excessive AIR system noise (putt-putt, whirring or hissing)

POSSIBLE SOURCE
^ Leak in hose.
- Locate source of leak using soap solution and replace hoses as necessary.

^ Loose, pinched or kinked hose.
- Reassemble, straighten or replace hose and clamps as required.

^ Hose touching other engine parts.
- Adjust hose to prevent contact with other engine parts.

^ Check valve inoperative.
- Test the valve. Go to pinpoint test step AIR33. AIR33 - Check Air Flow at Check Valve

^ AIR pump resonator leaking or blocked.
- Check resonator for hole or restricted inlet/outlet tubes. Go to pinpoint test step AIR6. AIR6 - Check Air Pump Resonator
