KM32 - Cycle A/C Demand Switch

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) on 20 volt scale.

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Connect DVOM positive test lead to test pin 43 and negative test lead to test pin 40.

- Does voltage cycle high and low when A/C demand switch is cycled?

Yes -- The PCM is receiving the A/C inputs on Pin 10 and Pin 43. Return to Diagnosis by Symptom (Diagnostic Routines) for other possible causes.

No -- Service open in AC Demand (ACD) circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
