1. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.2. Remove link attaching nut, washer and insulator, then the link from the strut.
3. Mark location of insulator to top mount. Place strut, spring and upper mount assembly in suitable spring compressor, then compress spring.
4. While preventing strut shaft from turning with a 10 mm six point deep well socket on top of shaft, remove mounting nut with oxygen sensor wrench tool T94P-9472-A, or equivalent.
NOTE: If strut is to be used again, do not use vise grips or pliers to hold strut shaft as damage will result.

5. Carefully loosen spring compressor tool, then remove top mount bracket assembly, spring insulator and spring.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. When installing spring on strut, ensure spring is properly located in upper and lower spring seats.
b. When tightening strut nut, prevent strut shaft from turning. Torque nut to 40-53 ft lb.
