Test Notes

NORMAL OPERATION
The voltage at Pin 17 (Circuit 617, PK/O) is approximately 10 volts ( 1 volt). Circuit 617 is connected to Circuit 624 (Y/W) inside the center cowl primary crash sensor. Therefore, the voltage at Pin 2 should be the same as the voltage at Pin 17. If the voltage at Pin 2 is less than the voltage at Pin 17, the air bag diagnostic monitor will flash code 41.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

Low Voltage At Pin 2 Can Be Caused By:

1. An open circuit in the wiring harness in either Circuit 617 (PK/O) or Circuit 624 (Y/W).

2. An open circuit in center cowl primary crash sensor across the PK/O and Y/W wires.
