Fuel Rail: Description and Operation

Fuel Rail Assembly:

PURPOSE
The fuel supply manifold delivers high-pressure fuel from the vehicle fuel supply line to the fuel injectors.

CONSTRUCTION
The assembly consists of a tubular rail, injector connectors, a mounting flange for the fuel pressure regulator, and mounting attachments that provides fuel injector retention. The manifold is also equipped with a fuel pressure relief valve on the fuel supply tube.
