KD6 - Check CANP Solenoid Resistance

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 565 or 569 indicates a failure in the Canister Purge (CANP) solenoid circuit.

Possible causes are:

- Damaged CANP solenoid.

- Open harness.

- Shorted (power or ground) harness.

- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect appropriate CANP solenoid.

- Measure CANP solenoid resistance.

- Is resistance between 30 and 90 ohms?

Yes -- Go to KD7. KD7 - Check VPWR Circuit Voltage

No -- Replace CANP solenoid. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
