DH5 - Check TP Circuit For Shorts to Power

- Key "OFF".

- Throttle Position (TP) sensor disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 47 and test pins 26 and 57 at the breakout box.

- Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect TP sensor. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
