DE3 - Check Continuity of FF Sensor Signal Circuit

- Key "OFF".

- Flexible Fuel (FF) sensor disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure resistance between FF sensor signal circuit pin at the FF sensor vehicle harness connector and test pin 45 at the breakout box.

- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes -- Go to DE4. DE4 - Check For Short to Power In FF Sensor Signal Circuit

No -- Service open circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
