With Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC)
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove ignition switch lock cylinder assembly to permit removal of steering column shrouds.
3. Remove steering column shrouds.
4. Remove screws retaining lower LH and instrument panel assemblies (one screw each) and remove instrument panel assemblies by snapping out.
5. Remove seven instrument panel finish panel retaining screws, and one jam nut behind headlamp switch. Remove instrument panel finish panel by rocking upper edge toward driver.
6. On column shift vehicles only, disconnect transaxle range indicator cable from steering column tube (one screw and cable loop).
7. Disconnect upper speed control speedometer cable from lower speed control speedometer cable in engine compartment.
8. Remove four screws retaining instrument cluster to instrument panel and pull instrument cluster assembly forward.
9. Disconnect instrument cluster electrical connectors and speed control speedometer cable. Press cable latch to disengage speed control speedometer cable from speedometer head, while pulling speed control speedometer cable away from instrument cluster. Remove instrument cluster.
10. To install, reverse removal procedure and calibrate the transaxle range indicator using the thumbwheel.
