Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions

The STAR Tester 007-0004, the Super STAR II Tester 007-00041, or equivalents, are required to properly diagnose and test this system.

NOTE: Do not use Super STAR Tester 007-00019.

NOTE: Ford Does not provide a procedure to retieve diagnostic trouble codes without a Super Star II tester.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Table.:

Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) table to locate the problem area description and/or the recommended pinpoint test.

Each trouble code has its own pinpoint test. These tests have priorities assigned with "1" being the highest priority and "4" being the lowest. One malfunction may cause other trouble codes to be displayed. Perform pinpoint tests in order of priority starting with the highest.
