Malfunction Lamp / Indicator: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Air Bag Indicator receives its signal from the air bag diagnostic module.

The indicator will light for 4 to 8 seconds when the ignition switch is initially put in the RUN position.

The indicator will light if the air bag diagnostic module detects a system fault, and will stay ON until the fault is corrected.
