AC8 - Isolate Opens In PIP Circuit In PCM

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed.

- Connect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to breakout box.

- Ignition Control Module (ICM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 56 (PIP) and test pins 37, 57 (short to power), 40, and 60 (short to ground) at breakout box.

- Is each resistance between 15,000 and 180,000 ohms?

Yes -- Go to AC9. AC9 - Check PIP Signal

No -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
