TG99 - DTC 0708 Was Generated During the Drive Cycle Test
DTC 0708 indicates the MLP circuit voltage was above the allowed maximum.
Possible Causes:
- Open in MLP harness SIG RTN circuit.
- Short to PWR in MLP harness SIG circuit.
- Damaged MLP sensor.
- Damaged PCM.
- Key Off.
- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion or loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Disconnect MLP sensor.
- Using a mirror, inspect both ends of transmission harness connector at MLP sensor for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.
- Measure resistance between Test Pin 91 (SIG RTN) at the breakout box and SIG RTN circuit at the MLP sensor vehicle harness connector.
- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?
YES -- GO to TG100. TG100 - Check For Short to PWR In MLP SIG Harness Circuit
NO -- SERVICE open circuit. REMOVE breakout box. RECONNECT all components. RERUN drive cycle test step TG90 to verify repair. TG90 - Perform Drive Cycle Test
